PRE-ORCHESTRA COURSE

For students from age 7

The HIMA Pre-Orchestra Course is intended for string students from the age of 7 that have completed level 2 or equivalent studies but have not finished the basic exam grunnpróf (ABRSM 3-4).

The Course will take place from 9am - 11:45am

During the Orchestra course, we will work on variety of pieces, play musical games and students will be given the opportunity to try their hand at conducting.

The Course concludes with a concert in Harpa’s Eldborg Hall, where the orchestra will perform the results of their work for audience.

Applicants should send a recording of a piece of their own choice. Please upload the recording to a streaming service such as YouTube and include the link in your application. Recordings sent as email attachments are not accepted. Please submit your recording by the application deadline, April 1st.

TUITION: 40.000 KR.
