Intermediate Division - 6 days!

June 18th - 23rd, 2024

The intermediate division is for dedicated violin, viola and cello students ages 11-15. Students will receive:

  • 5 private lessons (45 min each)

  • Chamber music (5x 45 min coachings)

  • Masterclass

  • Rehearsal with staff pianist

  • String orchestra

  • A practice room every day and occasional practice help

  • Lunch with the other students and faculty

  • Perform their solo, chamber and string orchestra work in a concert

Students have their own practice room every day from 8 a.m. until lunch. Private lessons, practicing and chamber music take place in the morning. After lunch, students play in the string orchestra and attend Masterclasses.

The Intermediate Division and Senior Division share the same faculty.

The final concert will take place on June 23rd in Harpa Concert Hall where students play their chamber music and string orchestra works.

Applicants should send a recording of two contrasting pieces, minimum 7 minutes. Please upload the recording to a streaming service such as YouTube and include the link in your application. Recordings sent as email attachments are not accepted. Please submit your recording by the application deadline, March 1st.
