      <image:title>Kennarar - Ari þór vilhjálmsson</image:title>
      <image:caption>Ari Þór Vilhjálmsson býr í Tel Aviv og starfar sem leiðari 2. fiðlu í Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Hann var áður í sama starfi hjá Fílharmóníusveitinni í Helsinki. Ari fæddist í Reykjavík árið 1981 og starfaði um árabil við Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Hann hefur einnig verið gestakonsertmeistari hljómsveita í Toulouse og Stokkhólmi. Ari kenndi við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík frá 2008-2014 og margir fyrrverandi nemenda hans stunda nú nám við tónlistarháskóla erlendis. Hann kennir hljómsveitarpartaáfanga við Tel Aviv University og vinnur reglulega með nemendum á Íslandi, í Finnlandi og Ísrael. Meðal kennara hans voru Mary Campbell, Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Rachel Barton Pine, Sigurbjörn Bernharðsson og hjónin Almita og Roland Vamos.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Kennarar - Auður hafsteinsdóttir</image:title>
      <image:caption>Auður er einn af fremstu fiðluleikurum og fiðlukennurum landsins. Hún er stofnfélagi í Trio Nordica og Caput tónlistarhópnum, og kemur reglulega fram á einleiks- og kammertónleikum innanlands og utan. Auður kennir við Menntaskóla í Tónlist, Tónskóla Sigursveins, og tónlistarskólana í Kópavogi og Grafarvogi. Margir nemenda hennar hafa unnið til verðlauna og stunda nám við erlenda tónlistarháskóla. Auður útskrifaðist frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík, New England Conservatory og University of Minnesota, þar sem hún lauk mastersgráðu sem nemandi hinna virtu hjóna Almitu og Roland Vamos.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Kennarar - Guðný Guðmundsdóttir</image:title>
      <image:caption>Guðný Guðmundsdóttir var konsertmeistari Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands frá 1974-2010. Á fjörutíu ára kennsluferli hefur hún kennt flestum leiðandi fiðluleikurum landsins við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík (nú MÍT) og Listaháskóla Íslands. Hún heldur masterklassa á hverju ári við tónlistarháskóla í Evrópu og Bandaríkjunum. Guðný hefur tekið upp fjölda platna og geisladiska. Hún hefur hlotið margvíslegar viðurkenningar fyrir leik sinn, m.a. hina íslensku fálkaorðu árið 1989 fyrir starf í þágu tónlistar. Guðný lærði hjá Birni Ólafssyni og síðar hjá Caroll Glenn við Eastman School of Music og Dorothy DeLay í Juilliard.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sif Margrét starfaði sem 2. konsertmeistari Sinfóníuhljómseitar Íslands frá 2000 - 2016 er hún fluttist til Berlínar þar sem hún lék ásamt fjölmörgum virtum tónlistarhópum um nokkurra ára skeið. Hún hefur verið atkvæðamikil í íslensku tónlistarlífi sem einleikari og kammermúsikant og tekið virkan þátt í flutningi nútímatónlistar. Sif lauk einleikaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík árið 1991 og hlaut Fulbright styrk til náms í Bandaríkjunum þar sem kennarar hennar voru Almita og Roland Vamos við Oberlin háskólann og síðar Joyce Robbins og Joel Smirnoff við Stony Brook háskólanum í New York.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Kennarar - Sigurbjörn bernharðsson</image:title>
      <image:caption>Sigurbjörn (Sibbi) hefur verið prófessor í fiðluleik við Oberlin Conservatory frá árinu 2017. Þar áður lék hann með Pacifica strengjakvartettinum í 17 ár, og spilaði yfir 90 tónleika á ári í helstu tónleikasölum heims. Hann vann til fjölda verðlauna ásamt kvartettinum, meðal annars Grammy verðlaun. Sigurbjörn hefur starfað með listamönnum á borð við Menahem Pressler, Yo-Yo Ma, Leon Fleisher og Emerson strengjakvartettinum. Hann kemur reglulega fram á einleikstónleikum og kennir masterklassa víðs vegar um Bandaríkin, Evrópu og í Asíu. Kennarar hans voru Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Almita og Roland Vamos, Matias Tacke og Shmuel Ashkenasi.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Kennarar - Judith ingólfsson</image:title>
      <image:caption>Judith Ingolfsson er prófessor við Peabody Institute við John Hopkins háskóla í Baltimore. Judith fæddist í Reykjavík og hóf fiðlunám aðeins þriggja ára. Hún var aðeins átta ára þegar hún lék inn á hljóðritun sem einleikari með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og kom nokkrum vikum síðar fyrst fram á alþjóðlegu sviði. Fjórtán ára fluttist hún til Bandaríkjanna og komst inn í hinn virta skóla Curtis Institute of Music þar sem Jascha Brodsky var kennari hennar. Judith lauk síðan meistaragráðu og diplómanámi frá Cleveland Institute of Music þar sem hún lærði hjá David Cerone og Donald Weilerstein. Judith hefur bæði unnið tónlistarkeppnir, verið staðarlistamaður og haldið tónleika í mörgum af helstu tónleikahúsum veraldar. Hún hefur komið fram jafnt sem einleikari, í flutningi kammertónlistar og sem einleikari með hljómsveitum. Judith hefur einnig leikið inn á fjölda platna. Hún hefur verið listrænn stjórnandi tónlistarraða og -hátíða, meðal annarra hinnar frönsku Aigues-Vives en Musiques akademíunnar og tónlistarhátíðarinnar þar sem hún er listrænn stjórnandi ásamt eiginmanni sínum, hinum virta píanóleikara Vladimir Stoupel. Judith leikur á Lorenzo Guadagnini fiðlu, smíðuð 1750 og víólu, smíðuð af Yair Hod Fainas.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Þórunn Ósk er leiðari víóludeildar Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands. Hún lærði við konunglega tónlistarháskólann í Brüssel hjá Ervin Schiffer. Þórunn hefur leikið einleik með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, Kammersveit Reykjavíkur, Prima la Musica og hljómsveit Sumida Triphony Hall í Tokyo. Þórunn kennir víóluleik og kammertónlist við Menntaskóla í Tónlist og Listaháskóla Íslands. Hún er mjög virkur kammermúsikspilari og kemur fram á fjölmörgum kammertónleikum á hverju ári. Hún er jafnframt stofnfélagi í Strokkvartettinum Sigga sem hefur frumflutt fjölda nýrra verka síðan 2012.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Rita Porfiris, víóluleikari hefur komið fram á alþjóðavettvangi í kammertónlist, hljómsveitum og sem einleikari. Hún hefur hlotið Prix Mercure frá Austurríki og verðlaun í Fischoff Chamber og Primrose International Viola Competition. Hún er nú upfærslumaður víóludeildar Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands og hefur verið meðlimur Houston-sinfóníunnar auk þess að og hafa leikið með Chicago-sinfóníunni, Indianapolis-sinfóníuhljómsveitinni og fyrrverandi Radio Sinfonie Orchestra Berlín. Áður en Rita flutti til Íslands var hún prófessor í víóluleik og formaður kammertónlistardeildar við The Hartt School. Hún er meðlimur QuartetES og Miller-Porfiris Duo.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sigurgeir Agnarsson var ráðinn aðalsellóleikari Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands árið 2017 þar sem hann starfar enn. Hann hefur átt farsælan og fjölbreyttan feril sem flytjandi, kennari og skipuleggjandi margvíslegra tónlistarviðburða. Sigurgeir hefur margsinnis komið fram sem einleikari með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og leikið á ýmsum tónlistarhátíðum, bæði hérlendis og erlendis. Sigurgeir var listrænn stjórnandi Reykholtshátíðar, einnar elstu tónlistarhátíðar landsins, á árunum 2013-2020. Hann hefur kennt við LHÍ og hefur verið kennari við Menntaskóla í tónlist (áður Tónlistarskólinn í Reykjavík) síðan 2003. Hann er og einn af stofnendum og stjórnarformaður HIMA.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sigurður Bjarki hefur verið meðlimur í Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands frá árinu 2002 og er jafnframt kennari við Listaháskóla Íslands og Menntaskóla í tónlist. Hann er stofnfélagi í Strokkvartettinum Sigga sem hefur verið áberandi í tónleikahaldi og upptökustarfi undanfarin ár og hlaut meðal annars Íslensku tónlistarverðlaunin 2018 sem tónlistarhópur ársins. Sigurður Bjarki lauk einleikaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík árið 1995 undir handleiðslu Gunnars Kvaran. Sigurður lauk Bachelors-prófi frá Manhattan School of Music árið 1998 og Masters-prófi frá Juilliard-skólanum í New York árið 2000.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sellóleikarinn Daniel Levitov starfar bæði sem kennari og flytjandi og kemur fram jafnt sem einleikari, kammer- og hljómsveitartónlistarmaður. Hann er stofnmeðlimur Clipper Mill strengjakvartettsins og starfar sem afleysingasellóleikari hjá Sinfóníuhljómsveitinni í Baltimore. Levitov starfar við Peabody Institute Preparatory við Johns Hopkins háskólann og er aðstoðardeildarstjóri strengjadeildar, lægri strengja og forstöðumaður kammertónlistar. Hann er stjórnandi Peabody Young Artists Orchestra (YAO). Levitov er einnig stjórnandi strengjasveita við Bryn Mawr skólann í Baltimore. Hann starfaði áður sem lektor við Sunderman tónlistarháskólann við Gettysburg College.  Nemendur hans hafa fengið inngöngu í virta tónlistarskóla eins og Juilliard, Oberlin, Cleveland Institute og Manhattan School of Music. Levitov hefur haldið meistaranámskeið og vinnustofur, hefur birt greinar í Strings and Strad Magazine og flutt erindi á landsráðstefnum American String Teacher's Association (ASTA). Levitov er með gráður frá City University of New York. Oberlin Conservatory og Manhattan School of Music, þar sem hann hlaut Janet Schenk verðlaunin fyrir framúrskarandi þjónustu.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Toke Møldrup er kennari og deildarstjóri við Konunglega tónlistarháskólann í Kaupmannahöfn og hefur áður starfað sem leiðari Kaupmannahafnar fílharmóníunnar. Hann stundaði nám við Konunglega tónlistarháskólann í Árósum og lauk einleikaraprófi frá Konunglega tónlistarháskólanum í Kaupmannahöfn. Hann lauk námi í Kaupmannahöfn árið 2005 og hefur síðan þá kennt við skólann. Ásamt því hefur hann kennt við ýmis námskeið og masterklassa í Evrópu. Toke Møldrup hefur komið fram sem sólóisti með Sinfóníuhljómsveitum í Danmörku og víðar ásamt því að hafa spilað á ýmsum viðburðum og tónlistarhátíðum víðsvegar um Evrópu sem einleikari og með öðru tónlistarfólki.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Guðrún Dalía stundaði píanónám við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík, Tónlistarháskólann í Stuttgart og í París. Hún hefur haldið fjölda tónleika, innanlands sem utan, sem einleikari og í ýmsum hljóðfærahópum og ekki síst sem meðleikari söngvara. Guðrún hefur hlotið fjölda styrkja og viðurkenninga, þ.á m. 1. verðlaun í píanókeppni EPTA í Salnum. Út hafa komið geisladiskar með leik hennar með sönglögum Jórunnar Viðar og Karls O. Runólfssonar. Guðrún Dalía starfar sem meðleikari við Tónlistarskóla Garðabæjar.</image:caption>

Hann hefur komið fram sem einleikari um allan heim, m.a. með Fílharmóníuhljómsveit Berlínar, hljómsveit Konzerthaus Berlin, Sinfóníuhljómsveit bæverska útvarpsins, Sinfóníuhljómsveit útvarpsins í Berlín, Staatskapelle Weimar, Staatskapelle Mainz, Wheeling Symphony, Lancaster Symphony og Lake Placid Sinfonietta. Hann hefur starfað með hljómsveitarstjórum eins og Christian Thielemann, Michail Jurowski, Leopold Hager, Marek Janowski, Steven Sloane, Stefan Malzew, Patrik Ringborg og Günther Neuhold.  Vladimir Stoupel hefur komið fram á mörgum af þekktustu sviðum heimsins, þar á meðal Berlínarfílharmóníunni, Konzerthaus í Berlín, Avery Fisher Hall í New York, Grosse Musikhalle í Hamborg og Konzerthaus í Dortmund, svo eitthvað sé nefnt. Af hátíðum má nefna hina virtu tónlistarhátíð í Slésvík-Holstein, Piano en Valois (Frakkland), Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte (Þýskaland), Printemps des Arts í Monte Carlo og Helsinki-hátíðina. Ásamt Judith Ingólfssyni fiðluleikara er hann listrænn stjórnandi og stofnandi alþjóðlegu hátíðarinnar Aigues-Vives en Musiques (Frakklandi) auk listræns stjórnanda alþjóðlegu hátíðarinnar The Last Rose Of Summer í Berlín. Hann hefur leikið inn á fjölmargara hljóðritanir og hlotið tilnefningar og virt verðlaun fyrir. Vladimir Stoupel stjórnar reglulega kammeróperum í Konzerthaus Berlin og starfar með fjölda hljómsveita og kammerhópa. Á Íslandi hefur hún komið fram m.a. á Sígildum sunnudögum og Velkomin heim í Hörpu, Klassík í Vatnsmýrinni og á tónlistarhátíðinni Seiglu. Hún starfar aðallega við meðleik og kammertónlist en á árinu 2021 kom hún einnig fram sem einleikari með ZHdK Strings í Sviss og í Hörpu í Reykjavík, auk þess að taka þátt í Beethoven-tónleikaröð í Salnum í Kópavogi. Í Sviss hefur hún komið fram m.a. á tónlistarhátíðinni Chesa Planta Musiktage og á tónleikum á vegum Liedrezital Zürich. Síðastliðin fjögur sumur hefur hún verið meðleikari á masterklassnámskeiðum fyrir söngvara í Frakklandi. Þóra hóf tónlistarnám sitt á Akureyri hjá Dýrleifu Bjarnadóttur og lærði síðar hjá Peter Máté við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík. Hún lauk meistaragráðu í píanókennslu og píanóleik með kammertónlist sem aukagrein frá tónlistarháskólanum í Luzern árið 2017. Árið 2020 lauk hún annarri meistaragráðu í kammertónlist og meðleik frá listaháskólanum í Zürich, þar sem aðalkennari hennar var píanóleikarinn Friedemann Rieger. Hún sótti þar einnig reglulega tíma hjá m.a. Christoph Berner og Eckart Heiligers. Hún hefur sótt masterklassnámskeið hjá m.a. Thomas Hampson, Joseph Breinl og Ewa Kupiec. Þóra starfar sem meðleikari við Menntaskóla í tónlist og Tónlistarskóla Hafnarfjarðar.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Gróa Margrét Valdimarsdóttir fiðluleikari er deildarstjóri Yngri deildar HIMA. Gróa útskrifaðist með B. Mus gráðu í fiðluleik  frá Listaháskóla Íslands undir handleiðslu Auðar Hafsteinsdóttur árið 2006. Að loknu námi í Listaháskólanum fór hún til Þýskalands og síðan til Bandaríkjanna þar sem hún kláraði M. Mus gráðu í fiðluleik frá University of Illinois undir handleiðslu Sigurbjörns Bernharðssonar. Þá stundaði hún nám við The Hartt School hjá Anton Miller og útskrifaðist árið 2011 með Graduate Professional Diploma og Artist Diploma vorið 2013. Gróa Margrét hefur einnig lokið 5. Stigi í Suzukikennaranámi hjá Lilju Hjaltadóttur og starfar nú sem Suzukikennari og skólastjóri við Allegro Suzukitónlistarskóla. Gróa Margrét hefur komið fram sem einleikari með ýmsum hljómsveitum og má þar helst nefna Foot in the Door Contemporary Ensemble, Sinfóníuhljómsveit Unga fólksins, University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra og Hartt Collegium Musicum.  Gróa er mikill áhugamaður um flutning nýrrar tónlistar og hafa nokkur verk verið tileinkuð henni sérstaklega, þar á meðal, fiðlukonsert eftir Benjamin Park sem hún frumflutti árið 2013 með Foot in the Door Contemporary Ensemble. Hún er einnig annar tveggja listrænna stjórnenda samtímatónlistarhátíðarinnar New Music for Strings á Íslandi. Gróa Margrét hefur einnig mikinn áhuga og metnað fyrir upprunaflutningi barokktónlistar og kemur reglulega fram á tónleikum ýmist með hljómsveitum eins og Barokkbandinu Brák og Alþjóðlegu Barokksveitinni í Reykjavík og smærri kammerhópum. Gróa Margrét leikur einnig reglulega með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og Sinfóníuhljómsveit Norðurlands ásamt fleiri hljómsveitum.</image:caption>

Helga Steinunn hefur verið virk í tónlistarlífinu og hefur leikið meðal annars með Sinfóníuhjómsveit Íslands og hljómsveit Íslensku óperunnar. Hún hefur verið virk í íslensku tónlistarlífi og leikur reglulega með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og hljómsveit Íslensku Óperunnar. Kristín hóf að spila á fiðlu 8 ára gömul og lærði hjá Hlíf Sigurjónsdóttur og Guðnýju Guðmundsdóttur. Hún hélt svo til framhaldsnáms í New York hjá Gerald Beal og Masao Kawasaki. Hún lauk mastersgráðu árið 2004 og flutti þá til Belgíu þar sem hún vann m.a. með Die Filharmonie Antwerpen.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Lilja Hjaltadóttir er fiðlukennari og aðstoðarskólastjóri Allegro Suzukiskólans hefur tvímælalaust lengstu og mestu reynslu af Suzukikennslu á Íslandi. Lilja lauk fiðlukennaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík árið 1978, og mastersprófi frá Southern Illinois University í Edwardsville. Aðalkennari hennar þar var John Kendall, einn af frumkvöðlum Suzukikennslu í Bandaríkjunum. Lilja hefur þjálfað fiðlukennara á Íslandi og víðar í Evrópu og er eftirsóttur kennari. Hún hefur kennt í Póllandi, Englandi, Írlandi, Þýskalandi, Svíþjóð, Spáni, Danmörku, Færeyjum, Belgíu og Eistlandi. Lílja hefur einnig leikið með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, Kammersveit Reykjavíkur og Bachsveitinni í Skálholti.</image:caption>

Mótettukór Hallgrímskirkju og Söngsveitinni Fílharmoníu. Brynhildur hefur öll réttindi til Suzukikennslu á píanó, og kennir nemendum á öllum stigum hljóðfæranáms.</image:caption>

Árið 2006 lauk hún B.Mus gráðu í víóluleik og strengjakennslu við Fontys Conservatorium í Hollandi undir handleiðslu Gisellu Bergman. Árin 2015-2016 og 2017-2018 stundaði Anna nám í hljómsveitar- og kórstjórn við Norges Musikkhøgskole í Osló og vorið 2021 útskrifaðist hún með meistaragráðu í söng- og hljóðfærakennslu frá Listaháskóla Íslands. Anna hefur komið víða við sem hljóðfæraleikari og tónlistarkennari. Hún hefur kennt fiðlu og víóluleik, kammermúsík og stjórnað strengjasveitum við tónlistarskóla og á námskeiðum í Hollandi, í Noregi, á Grænlandi og á Íslandi og starfar nú sem tónlistarkennari og hljómveitarstjóri við Tónskóla Sigursveins. Sem hljóðfæraleikari í lausamennsku hefur Anna unnið með fjölda tónlistar- og listafólks bæði innan lands og utan. Anna hefur sótt fjölda námskeiða í hljóðfæraleik og strengjakennslu og hefur undanfarin ár einbeitt sér að upprunaflutningi á barokkhljóðfæri. Hún er einn stofnmeðlima Kammerhópsins ReykjavíkBarokk (2012) og hefur stýrt verkefnum á vegum kammerhópsins síðan 2021.</image:caption>

Hafrún hefur leikið með Fílharmóníuhljómsveit Helsinki, NYKY Ensemble, Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, Íslensku Óperunni og hlaut starfsnámsstöðu hjá Fílharmóníuhljómsveit Helsinki haustið 2025. Hafrún, undir listamannsnafninu SPÍRA, hyggur á útgáfu plötu í vor með spunaverkum fyrir víólu og looper-pedal sem hún vann að í Listhópum Hins hússins sumarið 2024. Hún hefur tekið þátt í fjölbreyttum samstarfsverkefnum, meðal annars með góðgerðarsamtökunum Hyvin Voimin Ry, við að færa klassíska tónlist til hópa sem hafa takmarkað aðgengi að henni. Hafrún er einnig stofnmeðlimur norsk-íslenska hópsins Stundaróms sem vinnur með tónlistarf þjóðanna og stóð nýverið fyrir barnatónleikum á Íslandi og í Noregi. Auk þess hefur hún komið fram á hátíðum á borð við Seiglu og Óperudaga og tekið þátt í fjölda upptöku- og tónlistarverkefna.</image:caption>

Hún hóf fiðlunám fimm ára gömul hjá Lilju Hjaltadóttur við Allegro Suzuki-skólann í Reykjavík og lærði síðar hjá Guðnýju Guðmundsdóttur og einnig Sigrúnu Eðvaldsdóttur. Hún lauk prófi frá Listaháskóla Íslands árið 2017 áður en hún hélt til Bandaríkjanna til að stunda grunnnám við Oberlin Conservatory undir leiðsögn Sibba Bernharðssonar. Herdís er útskrifuð með meistaragráðu frá Yale School of Music þar sem hún lærði í stúdíói Augustins Hadelich. Hún hóf störf við Minnesota Orchestra haustið 2025 í 2. Fiðlu. Áður var hún meðlimur og konsertmeistari í Civic Orchestra of Chicago og hefur reglulega leyst af í bæði Chicago Symphony Orchestra og Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Hún gegndi hlutverki konsertmeistara Yale Philharmonia og var meðlimur Aspen Contemporary Ensemble sumrin 2023 og 2024. Herdís hefur mikinn áhuga á flutningi samtímatónlistar og hefur frumflutt fjölda nýrra verka, bæði sem einleikari og í samstarfi við hópa á borð við Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, New Music New Haven, Oberlin Contemporary Ensemble, Elju kammerhljómsveitina og Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Sem virkur kammertónlistarmaður kemur Herdís reglulega fram í heimaborg sinni, Reykjavík. Herdís hefur einnig komið fram sem einleikari með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands eftir að hafa unnið til verðlauna í einleikarakeppni hljómsveitarinnar fyrir ungt tónlistarfólk.Hún hefur hlotið heiður þess að vera styrkþegi minningarsjóðs Jean-Pierre Jacquillat og eining minningarsjóðs Önnu Nordal og Ingjaldssjóðs á meðan nám stóð yfir. Herdís var einnig ein af styrkþegum American-Scandinavian Association í New York.</image:caption>

Ari fæddist í Reykjavík árið 1981 og starfaði um árabil við Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Hann hefur einnig verið gestakonsertmeistari hljómsveita í Toulouse og Stokkhólmi. Ari kenndi við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík frá 2008-2014 og margir fyrrverandi nemenda hans stunda nú nám við tónlistarháskóla erlendis. Hann kennir hljómsveitarpartaáfanga við Tel Aviv University og vinnur reglulega með nemendum á Íslandi, í Finnlandi og Ísrael. Meðal kennara hans voru Mary Campbell, Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Rachel Barton Pine, Sigurbjörn Bernharðsson og hjónin Almita og Roland Vamos.</image:caption>

Auður útskrifaðist frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík, New England Conservatory og University of Minnesota, þar sem hún lauk mastersgráðu sem nemandi hinna virtu hjóna Almitu og Roland Vamos.</image:caption>

Hún heldur masterklassa á hverju ári við tónlistarháskóla í Evrópu og Bandaríkjunum. Guðný hefur tekið upp fjölda platna og geisladiska. Hún hefur hlotið margvíslegar viðurkenningar fyrir leik sinn, m.a. hina íslensku fálkaorðu árið 1989 fyrir starf í þágu tónlistar. Guðný lærði hjá Birni Ólafssyni og síðar hjá Caroll Glenn við Eastman School of Music og Dorothy DeLay í Juilliard.</image:caption>

Sif lauk einleikaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík árið 1991 og hlaut Fulbright styrk til náms í Bandaríkjunum þar sem kennarar hennar voru Almita og Roland Vamos við Oberlin háskólann og síðar Joyce Robbins og Joel Smirnoff við Stony Brook háskólanum í New York.</image:caption>

Þar áður lék hann með Pacifica strengjakvartettinum í 17 ár, og spilaði yfir 90 tónleika á ári í helstu tónleikasölum heims. Hann vann til fjölda verðlauna ásamt kvartettinum, meðal annars Grammy verðlaun. Sigurbjörn hefur starfað með listamönnum á borð við Menahem Pressler, Yo-Yo Ma, Leon Fleisher og Emerson strengjakvartettinum. Hann kemur reglulega fram á einleikstónleikum og kennir masterklassa víðs vegar um Bandaríkin, Evrópu og í Asíu. Kennarar hans voru Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Almita og Roland Vamos, Matias Tacke og Shmuel Ashkenasi.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Judith Ingolfsson er prófessor við Peabody Institute við John Hopkins háskóla í Baltimore. Judith fæddist í Reykjavík og hóf fiðlunám aðeins þriggja ára. Hún var aðeins átta ára þegar hún lék inn á hljóðritun sem einleikari með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og kom nokkrum vikum síðar fyrst fram á alþjóðlegu sviði. Fjórtán ára fluttist hún til Bandaríkjanna og komst inn í hinn virta skóla Curtis Institute of Music þar sem Jascha Brodsky var kennari hennar. Judith lauk síðan meistaragráðu og diplómanámi frá Cleveland Institute of Music þar sem hún lærði hjá David Cerone og Donald Weilerstein. Judith hefur bæði unnið tónlistarkeppnir, verið staðarlistamaður og haldið tónleika í mörgum af helstu tónleikahúsum veraldar. Hún hefur verið listrænn stjórnandi tónlistarraða og -hátíða, meðal annarra hinnar frönsku Aigues-Vives en Musiques akademíunnar og tónlistarhátíðarinnar þar sem hún er listrænn stjórnandi ásamt eiginmanni sínum, hinum virta píanóleikara Vladimir Stoupel. Judith leikur á Lorenzo Guadagnini fiðlu, smíðuð 1750 og víólu, smíðuð af Yair Hod Fainas.</image:caption>

Þórunn kennir víóluleik og kammertónlist við Menntaskóla í Tónlist og Listaháskóla Íslands. Hún er mjög virkur kammermúsikspilari og kemur fram á fjölmörgum kammertónleikum á hverju ári. Hún er jafnframt stofnfélagi í Strokkvartettinum Sigga sem hefur frumflutt fjölda nýrra verka síðan 2012.</image:caption>

Hún er nú upfærslumaður víóludeildar Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands og hefur verið meðlimur Houston-sinfóníunnar auk þess að og hafa leikið með Chicago-sinfóníunni, Indianapolis-sinfóníuhljómsveitinni og fyrrverandi Radio Sinfonie Orchestra Berlín. Áður en Rita flutti til Íslands var hún prófessor í víóluleik og formaður kammertónlistardeildar við The Hartt School. Hún er meðlimur QuartetES og Miller-Porfiris Duo.</image:caption>

Sigurgeir hefur margsinnis komið fram sem einleikari með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og leikið á ýmsum tónlistarhátíðum, bæði hérlendis og erlendis. Sigurgeir var listrænn stjórnandi Reykholtshátíðar, einnar elstu tónlistarhátíðar landsins, á árunum 2013-2020. Hann hefur kennt við LHÍ og hefur verið kennari við Menntaskóla í tónlist (áður Tónlistarskólinn í Reykjavík) síðan 2003. Hann er og einn af stofnendum og stjórnarformaður HIMA.</image:caption>

Sigurður Bjarki lauk einleikaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík árið 1995 undir handleiðslu Gunnars Kvaran. Sigurður lauk Bachelors-prófi frá Manhattan School of Music árið 1998 og Masters-prófi frá Juilliard-skólanum í New York árið 2000.</image:caption>

Hann er stofnmeðlimur Clipper Mill strengjakvartettsins og starfar sem afleysingasellóleikari hjá Sinfóníuhljómsveitinni í Baltimore. Levitov starfar við Peabody Institute Preparatory við Johns Hopkins háskólann og er aðstoðardeildarstjóri strengjadeildar, lægri strengja og forstöðumaður kammertónlistar. Hann er stjórnandi Peabody Young Artists Orchestra (YAO). Levitov er einnig stjórnandi strengjasveita við Bryn Mawr skólann í Baltimore. Hann starfaði áður sem lektor við Sunderman tónlistarháskólann við Gettysburg College.  Nemendur hans hafa fengið inngöngu í virta tónlistarskóla eins og Juilliard, Oberlin, Cleveland Institute og Manhattan School of Music. Levitov hefur haldið meistaranámskeið og vinnustofur, hefur birt greinar í Strings and Strad Magazine og flutt erindi á landsráðstefnum American String Teacher's Association (ASTA). Levitov er með gráður frá City University of New York. Oberlin Conservatory og Manhattan School of Music, þar sem hann hlaut Janet Schenk verðlaunin fyrir framúrskarandi þjónustu.</image:caption>

Hann stundaði nám við Konunglega tónlistarháskólann í Árósum og lauk einleikaraprófi frá Konunglega tónlistarháskólanum í Kaupmannahöfn. Hann lauk námi í Kaupmannahöfn árið 2005 og hefur síðan þá kennt við skólann. Ásamt því hefur hann kennt við ýmis námskeið og masterklassa í Evrópu. Toke Møldrup hefur komið fram sem sólóisti með Sinfóníuhljómsveitum í Danmörku og víðar ásamt því að hafa spilað á ýmsum viðburðum og tónlistarhátíðum víðsvegar um Evrópu sem einleikari og með öðru tónlistarfólki.</image:caption>

Guðrún hefur hlotið fjölda styrkja og viðurkenninga, þ.á m. 1. verðlaun í píanókeppni EPTA í Salnum. Út hafa komið geisladiskar með leik hennar með sönglögum Jórunnar Viðar og Karls O. Runólfssonar. Guðrún Dalía starfar sem meðleikari við Tónlistarskóla Garðabæjar.</image:caption>

Hann hefur starfað með hljómsveitarstjórum eins og Christian Thielemann, Michail Jurowski, Leopold Hager, Marek Janowski, Steven Sloane, Stefan Malzew, Patrik Ringborg og Günther Neuhold.  Vladimir Stoupel hefur komið fram á mörgum af þekktustu sviðum heimsins, þar á meðal Berlínarfílharmóníunni, Konzerthaus í Berlín, Avery Fisher Hall í New York, Grosse Musikhalle í Hamborg og Konzerthaus í Dortmund, svo eitthvað sé nefnt. Af hátíðum má nefna hina virtu tónlistarhátíð í Slésvík-Holstein, Piano en Valois (Frakkland), Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte (Þýskaland), Printemps des Arts í Monte Carlo og Helsinki-hátíðina. Ásamt Judith Ingólfssyni fiðluleikara er hann listrænn stjórnandi og stofnandi alþjóðlegu hátíðarinnar Aigues-Vives en Musiques (Frakklandi) auk listræns stjórnanda alþjóðlegu hátíðarinnar The Last Rose Of Summer í Berlín. Hann hefur leikið inn á fjölmargara hljóðritanir og hlotið tilnefningar og virt verðlaun fyrir. Vladimir Stoupel stjórnar reglulega kammeróperum í Konzerthaus Berlin og starfar með fjölda hljómsveita og kammerhópa. Vladimir Stoupel, sem hefur verið franskur ríkisborgari síðan 1985, býr nú í Berlín. Árið 2022 var hann sæmdur frönsku reglunni „Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres“.</image:caption>

Á Íslandi hefur hún komið fram m.a. á Sígildum sunnudögum og Velkomin heim í Hörpu, Klassík í Vatnsmýrinni og á tónlistarhátíðinni Seiglu. Hún starfar aðallega við meðleik og kammertónlist en á árinu 2021 kom hún einnig fram sem einleikari með ZHdK Strings í Sviss og í Hörpu í Reykjavík, auk þess að taka þátt í Beethoven-tónleikaröð í Salnum í Kópavogi. Í Sviss hefur hún komið fram m.a. á tónlistarhátíðinni Chesa Planta Musiktage og á tónleikum á vegum Liedrezital Zürich. Síðastliðin fjögur sumur hefur hún verið meðleikari á masterklassnámskeiðum fyrir söngvara í Frakklandi. Þóra hóf tónlistarnám sitt á Akureyri hjá Dýrleifu Bjarnadóttur og lærði síðar hjá Peter Máté við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík. Hún lauk meistaragráðu í píanókennslu og píanóleik með kammertónlist sem aukagrein frá tónlistarháskólanum í Luzern árið 2017. Árið 2020 lauk hún annarri meistaragráðu í kammertónlist og meðleik frá listaháskólanum í Zürich, þar sem aðalkennari hennar var píanóleikarinn Friedemann Rieger. Hún sótti þar einnig reglulega tíma hjá m.a. Christoph Berner og Eckart Heiligers. Hún hefur sótt masterklassnámskeið hjá m.a. Thomas Hampson, Joseph Breinl og Ewa Kupiec. Þóra starfar sem meðleikari við Menntaskóla í tónlist og Tónlistarskóla Hafnarfjarðar.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Gróa Margrét Valdimarsdóttir fiðluleikari er deildarstjóri Yngri deildar HIMA. Gróa útskrifaðist með B. Mus gráðu í fiðluleik  frá Listaháskóla Íslands undir handleiðslu Auðar Hafsteinsdóttur árið 2006. Að loknu námi í Listaháskólanum fór hún til Þýskalands og síðan til Bandaríkjanna þar sem hún kláraði M. Mus gráðu í fiðluleik frá University of Illinois undir handleiðslu Sigurbjörns Bernharðssonar. Þá stundaði hún nám við The Hartt School hjá Anton Miller og útskrifaðist árið 2011 með Graduate Professional Diploma og Artist Diploma vorið 2013. Gróa Margrét hefur einnig lokið 5. Stigi í Suzukikennaranámi hjá Lilju Hjaltadóttur og starfar nú sem Suzukikennari og skólastjóri við Allegro Suzukitónlistarskóla. Gróa Margrét hefur komið fram sem einleikari með ýmsum hljómsveitum og má þar helst nefna Foot in the Door Contemporary Ensemble, Sinfóníuhljómsveit Unga fólksins, University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra og Hartt Collegium Musicum.  Gróa er mikill áhugamaður um flutning nýrrar tónlistar og hafa nokkur verk verið tileinkuð henni sérstaklega, þar á meðal, fiðlukonsert eftir Benjamin Park sem hún frumflutti árið 2013 með Foot in the Door Contemporary Ensemble. Hún er einnig annar tveggja listrænna stjórnenda samtímatónlistarhátíðarinnar New Music for Strings á Íslandi. Gróa Margrét hefur einnig mikinn áhuga og metnað fyrir upprunaflutningi barokktónlistar og kemur reglulega fram á tónleikum ýmist með hljómsveitum eins og Barokkbandinu Brák og Alþjóðlegu Barokksveitinni í Reykjavík og smærri kammerhópum. Gróa Margrét leikur einnig reglulega með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands og Sinfóníuhljómsveit Norðurlands ásamt fleiri hljómsveitum.</image:caption>

Helga Steinunn hefur verið virk í tónlistarlífinu og hefur leikið meðal annars með Sinfóníuhjómsveit Íslands og hljómsveit Íslensku óperunnar. Hún kennir við Suzukitónlistarskólann í Reykjavík og Allegro Suzukitónlistarskólann.</image:caption>

Kristín hóf að spila á fiðlu 8 ára gömul og lærði hjá Hlíf Sigurjónsdóttur og Guðnýju Guðmundsdóttur. Hún hélt svo til framhaldsnáms í New York hjá Gerald Beal og Masao Kawasaki. Hún lauk mastersgráðu árið 2004 og flutti þá til Belgíu þar sem hún vann m.a. með Die Filharmonie Antwerpen.</image:caption>

Lilja lauk fiðlukennaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík árið 1978, og mastersprófi frá Southern Illinois University í Edwardsville. Aðalkennari hennar þar var John Kendall, einn af frumkvöðlum Suzukikennslu í Bandaríkjunum. Lilja hefur þjálfað fiðlukennara á Íslandi og víðar í Evrópu og er eftirsóttur kennari. Hún hefur kennt í Póllandi, Englandi, Írlandi, Þýskalandi, Svíþjóð, Spáni, Danmörku, Færeyjum, Belgíu og Eistlandi. Lílja hefur einnig leikið með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, Kammersveit Reykjavíkur og Bachsveitinni í Skálholti.</image:caption>

Mótettukór Hallgrímskirkju og Söngsveitinni Fílharmoníu. Brynhildur hefur öll réttindi til Suzukikennslu á píanó, og kennir nemendum á öllum stigum hljóðfæranáms.</image:caption>

Árið 2006 lauk hún B.Mus gráðu í víóluleik og strengjakennslu við Fontys Conservatorium í Hollandi undir handleiðslu Gisellu Bergman. Árin 2015-2016 og 2017-2018 stundaði Anna nám í hljómsveitar- og kórstjórn við Norges Musikkhøgskole í Osló og vorið 2021 útskrifaðist hún með meistaragráðu í söng- og hljóðfærakennslu frá Listaháskóla Íslands. Anna hefur komið víða við sem hljóðfæraleikari og tónlistarkennari. Hún hefur kennt fiðlu og víóluleik, kammermúsík og stjórnað strengjasveitum við tónlistarskóla og á námskeiðum í Hollandi, í Noregi, á Grænlandi og á Íslandi og starfar nú sem tónlistarkennari og hljómveitarstjóri við Tónskóla Sigursveins. Sem hljóðfæraleikari í lausamennsku hefur Anna unnið með fjölda tónlistar- og listafólks bæði innan lands og utan. Anna hefur sótt fjölda námskeiða í hljóðfæraleik og strengjakennslu og hefur undanfarin ár einbeitt sér að upprunaflutningi á barokkhljóðfæri. Hún er einn stofnmeðlima Kammerhópsins ReykjavíkBarokk (2012) og hefur stýrt verkefnum á vegum kammerhópsins síðan 2021.</image:caption>

Hún lauk framhaldsprófi á fiðlu frá MÍT og B.Mus. í víóluleik frá Listaháskóla Íslands vorið 2024 undir handleiðslu Þórunnar Óskar Marinósdóttur en þriðja árið stundaði hún skiptinám við Síbelíusarakademíuna. Hafrún hefur leikið með Fílharmóníuhljómsveit Helsinki, NYKY Ensemble, Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, Íslensku Óperunni og hlaut starfsnámsstöðu hjá Fílharmóníuhljómsveit Helsinki haustið 2025. Hafrún, undir listamannsnafninu SPÍRA, hyggur á útgáfu plötu í vor með spunaverkum fyrir víólu og looper-pedal sem hún vann að í Listhópum Hins hússins sumarið 2024. Hún hefur tekið þátt í fjölbreyttum samstarfsverkefnum, meðal annars með góðgerðarsamtökunum Hyvin Voimin Ry, við að færa klassíska tónlist til hópa sem hafa takmarkað aðgengi að henni. Hafrún er einnig stofnmeðlimur norsk-íslenska hópsins Stundaróms sem vinnur með tónlistarf þjóðanna og stóð nýverið fyrir barnatónleikum á Íslandi og í Noregi. Auk þess hefur hún komið fram á hátíðum á borð við Seiglu og Óperudaga og tekið þátt í fjölda upptöku- og tónlistarverkefna.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Herdís Mjöll Guðmundsdóttir er fædd og uppalin í Reykjavík. Hún hóf fiðlunám fimm ára gömul hjá Lilju Hjaltadóttur við Allegro Suzuki-skólann í Reykjavík og lærði síðar hjá Guðnýju Guðmundsdóttur og einnig Sigrúnu Eðvaldsdóttur. Hún lauk prófi frá Listaháskóla Íslands árið 2017 áður en hún hélt til Bandaríkjanna til að stunda grunnnám við Oberlin Conservatory undir leiðsögn Sibba Bernharðssonar. Herdís er útskrifuð með meistaragráðu frá Yale School of Music þar sem hún lærði í stúdíói Augustins Hadelich. Hún hóf störf við Minnesota Orchestra haustið 2025 í 2. Fiðlu. Áður var hún meðlimur og konsertmeistari í Civic Orchestra of Chicago og hefur reglulega leyst af í bæði Chicago Symphony Orchestra og Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Hún gegndi hlutverki konsertmeistara Yale Philharmonia og var meðlimur Aspen Contemporary Ensemble sumrin 2023 og 2024. Herdís hefur mikinn áhuga á flutningi samtímatónlistar og hefur frumflutt fjölda nýrra verka, bæði sem einleikari og í samstarfi við hópa á borð við Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, New Music New Haven, Oberlin Contemporary Ensemble, Elju kammerhljómsveitina og Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands. Sem virkur kammertónlistarmaður kemur Herdís reglulega fram í heimaborg sinni, Reykjavík. Herdís hefur einnig komið fram sem einleikari með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands eftir að hafa unnið til verðlauna í einleikarakeppni hljómsveitarinnar fyrir ungt tónlistarfólk.Hún hefur hlotið heiður þess að vera styrkþegi minningarsjóðs Jean-Pierre Jacquillat og eining minningarsjóðs Önnu Nordal og Ingjaldssjóðs á meðan nám stóð yfir. Herdís var einnig ein af styrkþegum American-Scandinavian Association í New York.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ari Þór Vilhjálmsson has been Principal Second Violin of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra since 2019. He previously held the same position with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in Finland. Born in Reykjavík in1981, he also worked with the Iceland Symphony for a number of years, and appeared as guest concertmaster with orchestras in Toulouse and Stockholm. Ari taught at the Reykjavik College of Music from 2008-2014 and many of his former students are recent graduates from conservatories abroad. He has taught at the Sibelius Academy and continues to work with students in Israel and Iceland. Auður has appeared both as soloist and chamber musician in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China and Japan. Auður has received many awards for her playing, she is a founding member of Trio Nordica and the Caput Ensemble. Her playing is featured on numerous labels such as Tutl, GM records and Naxos. Auður is a prominent teacher, many of her students have won competitions and gone on to study at respected conservatories abroad.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Guðný Guðmundsdóttir was concertmaster of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra from 1974-2010. In over four decades of teaching, she has taught most of Iceland’s leading violinists at the Reykjavík College of Music and Iceland Arts University. Guðný started performing at the age of 7 and has played solo and chamber music concerts across the all around the world. She travels every year to teach at summer music festivals and teaches masterclasses at conservatories in the U.S. and Europe. Guðný has recorded several albums and was awarded the Order of the Falcon in 1989 for her outstanding work in the field of music. After completing studies in Iceland her teachers included Caroll Glenn at Eastman and Dorothy DeLay at Juilliard School of Music.</image:caption>

She is an active performer of chamber music and of new music, and has premiered many works by Icelandic composers that have been written for her. After graudating from the Reykjavik College of Music in 1991, she went on to complete a Master of Music degree in the U.S. Her teachers included Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Almita and Roland Vamos, Joyce Robbins and Joel Smirnoff. She currently resides in Iceland where she teaches at the Kópavogur music school and Iceland University of the Arts.</image:caption>

He received numerous honors with the quartet, including a Grammy Award. Sibbi has collaborated with artists such as Menahem Pressler, Yo-Yo Ma, Leon Fleisher and the Emerson String Quartet. He gives regular concerts and masterclasses across the U.S., and in Europe and Asia. His teachers include Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Almita and Roland Vamos, Matias Tacke and Shmuel Ashkenasi.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Judith Ingolfsson is a professor at the Peabody Institute at John Hopkins University in Baltimore.  She was born in Reykjavík and started studying the violin at the age of three. She was only eight years old when she recorded as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and a few weeks later made her first appearance on the international stage. At the age of fourteen, she moved to the United States and entered the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where Jascha Brodsky was her teacher. Judith then earned her Master's Degree and Artists Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with David Cerone and Donald Weilerstein. Judith has both won music competitions, been artist in residence and given concerts and recitals in many of the world's major concert halls. She has performed both as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and as a soloist with orchestras. Judith has also released a number of albums. She has been the artistic director of music series and festivals, including the French Aigues-Vives en Musiques academy and music festival, where she is the artistic director together with her husband, the renowned pianist Vladimir Stoupel.  Judith plays a Lorenzo Guadagnini violin, made in 1750, and a viola, made by Yair Hod Fainas.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Rita Porfiris, violist has performed in major concert halls across the globe as a chamber musician, orchestral musician, and soloist. She is currently co-Principal viola of the Iceland Symphony, and was formerly Professor of Viola and Director of Chamber Music at The Hartt School. Other appointments included New York University, University of Houston, Rice University, Florida International University, and the Harlem School for the Arts. Ms. Porfiris is a member of QuartetES and the Miller-Porfiris Duo. She received Austria’s Prix Mercure, was a prize winner in the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, the Primrose International Viola Competition, and the Paolo Borciani International Quartet Competition. Playing with the Houston, Chicago, and Indianapolis Symphonies, she worked under some of the most recognized conductors of the 20-21 Centuries: Leonard Bernstein, Sergiu Celibidache, Kurt Masur, Michael Tilson Thomas, Ricardo Muti, and Christoph Eschenbach.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sigurgeir Agnarsson is principal cellist of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from the Reykjavik College of Music in 1995 and continued his studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston with David Wells and Laurence Lesser and at the Hochschule für Musik in Düsseldorf with Prof. Johannes Goritzki. Sigurgeir is head of the string department at the Reykjavik College of Music. He has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Bochumer Symphoniker and the Reykjavík Chamber Orchestra and appears regularly as a chamber musician and recitalist in Iceland and abroad. He has recorded for the Icelandic Broadcasting Service and the Naxos label. Sigurgeir is one of the founders of the Harpa International Music Academy.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Cellist and pedagogue Daniel Levitov maintains a vibrant career as a performer and educator. Levitov performs locally and nationally as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. Recognized by the Baltimore Sun for his “warmth of tone and phrasing” and “expressive force,” he is a founding member of the Clipper Mill String Quartet and serves as a substitute cellist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Levitov is Associate Chair of Strings, Lower Strings and Director of Chamber Music at the Peabody Institute Preparatory of the Johns Hopkins University. He is the conductor of the Peabody Young Artists Orchestra (YAO). Levitov is also director of string ensembles at the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore. He has previously served as assistant professor of cello at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College.  His students have been accepted to major conservatories such as Juilliard, Oberlin, the Cleveland Institute, and the Manhattan School of Music. Levitov gives masterclasses and workshops across the country, has published in Strings and Strad Magazine, and presents at the American String Teacher’s Association (ASTA) National Conferences. Levitov holds degrees from the City University of New York. the Oberlin Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music, where he received the Janet Schenk award for distinguished service.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Toke Møldrup is Associate professor and department coordinator at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and former principal cellist of the Copenhagen Philharmony. He studied at the Jyske Musikkonservatorium and the Royal Danish Academy of Music where he trained as a soloist. He graduated in 2005 and has since then been teaching at the Academy. He has taught courses and masterclasses in Scandinavia and Europe. Toke Møldrup has performed many times as a soloist with Danish and international symphony orchestras. He has performed as a soloist and as a member of ensambles and chamber groups in many festivals all over Europe.</image:caption>

Guðrún has received numerous grants and awards, including 1st prize in the EPTA piano competition in Salnum. CDs have been released with her playing with songs by Jórunn Viðar and Karl O. Runólfsson. Guðrún Dalía works as an accompanist at Garðabær's Music School.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Vladimir Stoupel is a conductor and pianist. He has performed as a soloist worldwide, e.g. with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Staatskapelle Mainz, Wheeling Symphony, Lancaster Symphony and Lake Placid Sinfonietta. He has collaborated with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Michail Jurowski, Leopold Hager, Marek Janowski, Steven Sloane, Stefan Malzew, Patrik Ringborg, and Günther Neuhold.  Vladimir Stoupel has appeared on many of the world’s notable stages, including Berlin’s Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, Avery Fisher Hall in New York, Hamburg’s Grosse Musikhalle, and Dortmund’s Konzerthaus, to name just a few. Festival appearances include the renowned Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Piano en Valois (France), Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte (Germany), Printemps des Arts in Monte Carlo and the Helsinki Festival. Together with the violinist Judith Ingolfsson he is a co-artistic director and founder of the international festival Aigues-Vives en Musiques (France) as well as co-artistic director of the international festival The Last Rose Of Summer in Berlin. His discography is extensive for which he has received nominations and won prestigious awards. Vladimir Stoupel regularly conducts chamber operas at Konzerthaus Berlin and works with a number of orchestras and chamber groups.  A French citizen since 1985, Vladimir Stoupel currently  makes his home in Berlin. In 2022 he was awarded a French Order "Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres".</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Þóra Kristín Gunnarsdóttir has performed at music festivals and concerts all over Switzerland and Iceland. In Iceland, she has performed at various recitals and chamber music concerts and festivals e.g. music festivals Reykholt Chamber Music Festival and Seigla Chamber Music Festival. She works mainly with accompaniment and chamber music, but in 2021 she also performed as a soloist with ZHdK Strings in Switzerland and in Harpa in Reykjavík, as well as taking part in a Beethoven concert series in Salnum in Kópavogur. In Switzerland, she has performed, e.g. at the music festival Chesa Planta Musiktage and at a concert organized by Liedrezital Zürich. For the past four summers, she has been an accompanist in masterclass courses for singers in France. Þóra began her music studies in Akureyri with Dýrleifa Bjarnadóttir and later studied with Peter Máté at the Music School in Reykjavík. She completed a master's degree in piano teaching and piano performance with a minor in chamber music from the Lucerne University of Music in 2017. In 2020, she completed a second master's degree in chamber music and accompaniment from the Zurich University of the Arts, where her main teacher was pianist Friedemann Rieger. She also attended regular classes there with, among others, Christoph Berner and Eckart Heiligers. She has attended master class courses at, among others Thomas Hampson, Joseph Breinl and Ewa Kupiec. Þóra works as an accompanist at the High School of Music and the Hafnarfjörður Conservatory.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Kristín Björg is a violin teacher at Garðabær's Music School and is also the director of the school's string ensemble. She teaches both young children and advanced students and is fully trained in the Suzuki method. She has been active in Icelandic music and plays regularly with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera Orchestra. Kristín started playing the violin at the age of 8 and studied with Hlíf Sigurjónsdóttir and Guðnýja Guðmundsdóttir. She then went to graduate school in New York with Gerald Beal and Masao Kawasaki. She completed her master's degree in 2004 and then moved to Belgium, where she worked, among other things. with Die Filharmonie Antwerpen.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Lilja Hjaltadóttir is assistant principal of the Allegro Suzuki School in Reykjavík and the most experienced Suzuki teacher in Iceland. She graduated from the Reykjavík College of Music and completed a master’s degree from Souther Illinois University in Edwardsville in 1981. Her main teacher was John Kendall, the leading Suzuki pedagogue in the U.S. Lilja trains Suzuki teachers in Iceland and abroad, and travels regularly to teach all over Europe.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Brynhildur Ásgeirsdóttir works as a pianoteacher and accompanist at the Allegro Suzuki Music School and the Kópavogur Music School. She studied at the Reykjavík School of Music and completed her studies under the guidance of Jónas Ingimundarson. She pursued postgraduate studies at the Utrecht Conservatorium and the Amsterdam Conservatorioum in the Netherland. She has been an accompanist with singing and instrumental students and has worked with choirs including the Hallgrímskirkja Motet Choir and the Philharmonic Choir. Brynhildur has full qualifications as Piano Suzuki Teacher, and teaches students at all levels.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Anna Hugadóttir studied violin and viola at Tónskóli Sigursveins. She studied viola with Gisella Bergman at the Fontys Conservatorium in the Netherlands and graduated with a B.Mus in viola and string teaching in 2006. In 2015-2016 and 2017-2018, Anna studied orchestral and choral conducting at the Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo and in 2021 she earned her master's degree in vocal and instrumental teaching from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Anna has had a varied carrier both as a player and music teacher. She has taught violin and viola, chamber music and conducted string ensembles at music schools and festivals in the Netherlands, Norway, Greenland and Iceland. She is currently employed at Tónskóli Sigursveins as a music teacher and conductor. As a freelance musician, Anna has worked with a number of musicians and artists both domestically and internationally. Anna has attended numerous courses in instrumental performance and string teaching with a special focus on historically informed performance practise. She is one of the founding members of the Ensemble ReykjavíkBarokk (2012) and has led projects for the chamber group since 2021.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Hafrún Birna Björnsdóttir ispursuing a master's degree on the viola at the Sibelius Academy under the tutelage of Atte Kilpeläinen and Helge Valtonen. She completed an advanced diploma in violin from MÍT and a B.Mus. in viola from the Iceland University of the Arts in the spring of 2024, under the guidance of Þórunn Ósk Marinósdóttir, having undertaken an exchange year at the Sibelius Academy during her third year. Hafrún has performed with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, NYKY Ensemble, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, and the Icelandic Opera, and received an internship position with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in the autumn of 2025. Under the artist name SPÍRA, Hafrún plans to release an album this spring featuring improvisations for viola and looper pedal, which she worked on in the Arts Groups of The House (Listhópar Hins hússins) during the summer of 2024. She has participated in diverse collaborative projects, including with the charity organization Hyvin Voimin Ry, to bring classical music to underserved audiences. Hafrún is also a founding member of the Norwegian-Icelandic group Stundaróms, which works with the music of nations and recently organized children's concerts in Iceland and Norway.       <image:caption>Herdís Mjöll Guðmundsdóttir was born and raised in Reykjavík. She began her violin studies at the age of five with Lilja Hjaltadóttir at the Allegro Suzuki School in Reykjavík and later studied with Guðný Guðmundsdóttir and also Sigrún Eðvaldsdóttir. She graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2017 before moving to the United States to pursue undergraduate studies at the Oberlin Conservatory under the guidance of Sibbi Bernharðsson. Herdís holds a master's degree from the Yale School of Music, where she studied in the studio of Augustin Hadelich. She began her work with the Minnesota Orchestra in the fall of 2025 in the 2nd Violin section. Previously, she was a member and concertmaster of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and has regularly substituted in both the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. She served as concertmaster of the Yale Philharmonia and was a member of the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble in the summers of 2023 and 2024. Herdís has a strong interest in performing contemporary music and has premiered numerous new works, both as a soloist and in collaboration with groups such as the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, New Music New Haven, Oberlin Contemporary Ensemble, Elju Chamber Orchestra, and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. As an active chamber musician, Herdís regularly performs in her hometown, Reykjavík. Herdís has also performed as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra after winning the orchestra's concerto competition for young musicians. She has had the honor of being a scholarship recipient of the Jean-Pierre Jacquillat Memorial Fund and the Anna Nordal and Ingjaldur Fund during her studies. Herdís was also one of the scholarship recipients of the American-Scandinavian Association in New York.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Katrín Birna Sigurðardóttir was born in 2002 and began her cello studies at the age of 5 in Selfoss at the Árnesinga Music School with Pawel Panasiuk and later with Uelle Hahndorf. She completed her advanced diploma there in the spring of 2021 and then moved to Denmark. She then began her bachelor's studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Henrik Brendstrup and will graduate this summer with a master's degree from the same school. Katrín was a leader in the Youth Orchestra of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2019 and has participated in various projects with the South Iceland Symphony Orchestra. In her first year in Aarhus, she won the school's concerto competition and was given the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra. She has performed solo with the string orchestra of the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and received a talent award from the Friends of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. In April 2025, Katrín performed as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra as one of the winners of Young Soloists. Alongside her studies, Katrín has performed at various music festivals and regularly plays with the chamber orchestra in Randers.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ari Þór Vilhjálmsson has been Principal Second Violin of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra since 2019. He previously held the same position with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in Finland. Born in Reykjavík in1981, he also worked with the Iceland Symphony for a number of years, and appeared as guest concertmaster with orchestras in Toulouse and Stockholm. Ari taught at the Reykjavik College of Music from 2008-2014 and many of his former students are recent graduates from conservatories abroad. He has taught at the Sibelius Academy and continues to work with students in Israel and Iceland. Ari’s teachers include Mary Campbell, Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Rachel Barton Pine, Sibbi Bernhardsson and Almita and Roland Vamos.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>One of Iceland’s leading performers and violin teachers, Auður is a graduate of the Reykjavík College of Music, the New England Conservatory and the University of Minnesota, where she received her Master’s degree as a student of the renowned Almita and Roland Vamos. Auður has appeared both as soloist and chamber musician in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China and Japan. Auður has received many awards for her playing, she is a founding member of Trio Nordica and the Caput Ensemble. Her playing is featured on numerous labels such as Tutl, GM records and Naxos. Auður is a prominent teacher, many of her students have won competitions and gone on to study at respected conservatories abroad.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Guðný Guðmundsdóttir was concertmaster of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra from 1974-2010. In over four decades of teaching, she has taught most of Iceland’s leading violinists at the Reykjavík College of Music and Iceland Arts University. Guðný started performing at the age of 7 and has played solo and chamber music concerts across the all around the world. She travels every year to teach at summer music festivals and teaches masterclasses at conservatories in the U.S. and Europe. Guðný has recorded several albums and was awarded the Order of the Falcon in 1989 for her outstanding work in the field of music. After completing studies in Iceland her teachers included Caroll Glenn at Eastman and Dorothy DeLay at Juilliard School of Music.</image:caption>

She is an active performer of chamber music and of new music, and has premiered many works by Icelandic composers that have been written for her. After graudating from the Reykjavik College of Music in 1991, she went on to complete a Master of Music degree in the U.S. Her teachers included Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Almita and Roland Vamos, Joyce Robbins and Joel Smirnoff.       <image:caption>Sibbi Bernhardsson is a professor of Violin at Oberlin Conservatory. He was previously a member of the Pacifica String Quartet for 17 years, playing more than 90 concerts a year in leading concert halls around the world. He received numerous honors with the quartet, including a Grammy Award. Sibbi has collaborated with artists such as Menahem Pressler, Yo-Yo Ma, Leon Fleisher and the Emerson String Quartet. He gives regular concerts and masterclasses across the U.S., and in Europe and Asia. His teachers include Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Almita and Roland Vamos, Matias Tacke and Shmuel Ashkenasi.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Judith Ingolfsson is a professor at the Peabody Institute at John Hopkins University in Baltimore.  She was born in Reykjavík and started studying the violin at the age of three. She was only eight years old when she recorded as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and a few weeks later made her first appearance on the international stage. At the age of fourteen, she moved to the United States and entered the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where Jascha Brodsky was her teacher. Judith then earned her Master's Degree and Artists Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with David Cerone and Donald Weilerstein. Judith has both won music competitions, been artist in residence and given concerts and recitals in many of the world's major concert halls. She has performed both as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and as a soloist with orchestras. Judith has also released a number of albums. She has been the artistic director of music series and festivals, including the French Aigues-Vives en Musiques academy and music festival, where she is the artistic director together with her husband, the renowned pianist Vladimir Stoupel.  Judith plays a Lorenzo Guadagnini violin, made in 1750, and a viola, made by Yair Hod Fainas.</image:caption>

She is an active chamber musician, has been a part of many chamber music recordings and is a regular guest at chamber music festivals in Iceland.       <image:caption>Rita Porfiris, violist has performed in major concert halls across the globe as a chamber musician, orchestral musician, and soloist. She is currently co-Principal viola of the Iceland Symphony, and was formerly Professor of Viola and Director of Chamber Music at The Hartt School. Other appointments included New York University, University of Houston, Rice University, Florida International University, and the Harlem School for the Arts. Ms. Porfiris is a member of QuartetES and the Miller-Porfiris Duo. She received Austria’s Prix Mercure, was a prize winner in the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, the Primrose International Viola Competition, and the Paolo Borciani International Quartet Competition. Playing with the Houston, Chicago, and Indianapolis Symphonies, she worked under some of the most recognized conductors of the 20-21 Centuries: Leonard Bernstein, Sergiu Celibidache, Kurt Masur, Michael Tilson Thomas, Ricardo Muti, and Christoph Eschenbach.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sigurgeir Agnarsson is principal cellist of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from the Reykjavik College of Music in 1995 and continued his studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston with David Wells and Laurence Lesser and at the Hochschule für Musik in Düsseldorf with Prof. Johannes Goritzki. Sigurgeir is head of the string department at the Reykjavik College of Music. He has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Bochumer Symphoniker and the Reykjavík Chamber Orchestra and appears regularly as a chamber musician and recitalist in Iceland and abroad. He has recorded for the Icelandic Broadcasting Service and the Naxos label. Sigurgeir is one of the founders of the Harpa International Music Academy.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Cellist and pedagogue Daniel Levitov maintains a vibrant career as a performer and educator. Levitov performs locally and nationally as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. Recognized by the Baltimore Sun for his “warmth of tone and phrasing” and “expressive force,” he is a founding member of the Clipper Mill String Quartet and serves as a substitute cellist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Levitov is Associate Chair of Strings, Lower Strings and Director of Chamber Music at the Peabody Institute Preparatory of the Johns Hopkins University. He is the conductor of the Peabody Young Artists Orchestra (YAO). Levitov is also director of string ensembles at the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore. He has previously served as assistant professor of cello at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College.  His students have been accepted to major conservatories such as Juilliard, Oberlin, the Cleveland Institute, and the Manhattan School of Music. Levitov gives masterclasses and workshops across the country, has published in Strings and Strad Magazine, and presents at the American String Teacher’s Association (ASTA) National Conferences. Levitov holds degrees from the City University of New York. the Oberlin Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music, where he received the Janet Schenk award for distinguished service.</image:caption>

He has taught courses and masterclasses in Scandinavia and Europe. Toke Møldrup has performed many times as a soloist with Danish and international symphony orchestras.       <image:caption>Guðrún Dalía studied piano at the Conservatory of Music in Reykjavík, the University of Music in Stuttgart and in Paris. She has given numerous concerts, both domestically and abroad, as a soloist and in various instrumental groups, and not least as an accompanist for singers. Guðrún has received numerous grants and awards, including 1st prize in the EPTA piano competition in Salnum. CDs have been released with her playing with songs by Jórunn Viðar and Karl O. Runólfsson.       <image:caption>Vladimir Stoupel is a conductor and pianist. He has performed as a soloist worldwide, e.g. with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Staatskapelle Mainz, Wheeling Symphony, Lancaster Symphony and Lake Placid Sinfonietta. He has collaborated with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Michail Jurowski, Leopold Hager, Marek Janowski, Steven Sloane, Stefan Malzew, Patrik Ringborg, and Günther Neuhold.  Vladimir Stoupel has appeared on many of the world’s notable stages, including Berlin’s Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, Avery Fisher Hall in New York, Hamburg’s Grosse Musikhalle, and Dortmund’s Konzerthaus, to name just a few. Festival appearances include the renowned Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Piano en Valois (France), Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte (Germany), Printemps des Arts in Monte Carlo and the Helsinki Festival. Together with the violinist Judith Ingolfsson he is a co-artistic director and founder of the international festival Aigues-Vives en Musiques (France) as well as co-artistic director of the international festival The Last Rose Of Summer in Berlin. His discography is extensive for which he has received nominations and won prestigious awards. Vladimir Stoupel regularly conducts chamber operas at Konzerthaus Berlin and works with a number of orchestras and chamber groups.  A French citizen since 1985, Vladimir Stoupel currently  makes his home in Berlin. In 2022 he was awarded a French Order "Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres".</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Þóra Kristín Gunnarsdóttir has performed at music festivals and concerts all over Switzerland and Iceland. In Iceland, she has performed at various recitals and chamber music concerts and festivals e.g. music festivals Reykholt Chamber Music Festival and Seigla Chamber Music Festival. She works mainly with accompaniment and chamber music, but in 2021 she also performed as a soloist with ZHdK Strings in Switzerland and in Harpa in Reykjavík, as well as taking part in a Beethoven concert series in Salnum in Kópavogur. In Switzerland, she has performed, e.g. at the music festival Chesa Planta Musiktage and at a concert organized by Liedrezital Zürich. For the past four summers, she has been an accompanist in masterclass courses for singers in France. Þóra began her music studies in Akureyri with Dýrleifa Bjarnadóttir and later studied with Peter Máté at the Music School in Reykjavík. She completed a master's degree in piano teaching and piano performance with a minor in chamber music from the Lucerne University of Music in 2017. In 2020, she completed a second master's degree in chamber music and accompaniment from the Zurich University of the Arts, where her main teacher was pianist Friedemann Rieger. She also attended regular classes there with, among others, Christoph Berner and Eckart Heiligers. She has attended master class courses at, among others Thomas Hampson, Joseph Breinl and Ewa Kupiec. Þóra works as an accompanist at the High School of Music and the Hafnarfjörður Conservatory.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Violinist Gróa Margrét Valdimarsdóttir is Head Teacher of HIMA’s Junior Division. She graduated with a B. Mus degree in violin performance from the Iceland Academy of the Arts under the supervision of Auðar Hafsteinsdóttir in 2006. After completing her studies at the Academy of Arts, she went to Germany and then to the United States where she completed her M. Mus degree in violin performance from the University of Illinois under the guidance of Sigurbjörn Bernhardsson. She then studied at The Hartt School with Anton Miller and graduated in 2011 with a Graduate Professional Diploma and Artist Diploma in the spring of 2013. Gróa Margrét has also completed Level 5 in Suzuki Teacher Training with Lilja Hjaltadóttir and currently works as a Suzuki teacher and principal at Allegro Suzuki Music School. Gróa Margrét has performed as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Foot in the Door Contemporary Ensemble, the Youth Symphony Orchestra, the University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the Hartt Collegium Musicum. Gróa is an enthusiast for performing new music and several works have been dedicated to her, including Benjamin Park's Violin Concerto, which she premiered in 2013 with the Foot in the Door Contemporary Ensemble. She is also one of the two artistic directors of the contemporary music festival New Music for Strings in Iceland. Gróa Margrét also has a great interest and ambition for the original performance of baroque music and regularly performs in concerts with orchestras such as the Brák Baroque Band and the Reykjavík International Baroque Orchestra and smaller chamber groups. Gróa Margrét also plays regularly with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the North Iceland Symphony Orchestra, as well as other orchestras.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Kristín Björg is a violin teacher at Garðabær's Music School and is also the director of the school's string ensemble. She teaches both young children and advanced students and is fully trained in the Suzuki method. She has been active in Icelandic music and plays regularly with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera Orchestra. Kristín started playing the violin at the age of 8 and studied with Hlíf Sigurjónsdóttir and Guðnýja Guðmundsdóttir. She then went to graduate school in New York with Gerald Beal and Masao Kawasaki. She completed her master's degree in 2004 and then moved to Belgium, where she worked, among other things. with Die Filharmonie Antwerpen.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Lilja Hjaltadóttir is assistant principal of the Allegro Suzuki School in Reykjavík and the most experienced Suzuki teacher in Iceland. She graduated from the Reykjavík College of Music and completed a master’s degree from Souther Illinois University in Edwardsville in 1981. Her main teacher was John Kendall, the leading Suzuki pedagogue in the U.S. Lilja trains Suzuki teachers in Iceland and abroad, and travels regularly to teach all over Europe.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Brynhildur Ásgeirsdóttir works as a pianoteacher and accompanist at the Allegro Suzuki Music School and the Kópavogur Music School. She studied at the Reykjavík School of Music and completed her studies under the guidance of Jónas Ingimundarson. She pursued postgraduate studies at the Utrecht Conservatorium and the Amsterdam Conservatorioum in the Netherland. She has been an accompanist with singing and instrumental students and has worked with choirs including the Hallgrímskirkja Motet Choir and the Philharmonic Choir. Brynhildur has full qualifications as Piano Suzuki Teacher, and teaches students at all levels.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Anna Hugadóttir studied violin and viola at Tónskóli Sigursveins. She studied viola with Gisella Bergman at the Fontys Conservatorium in the Netherlands and graduated with a B.Mus in viola and string teaching in 2006. In 2015-2016 and 2017-2018, Anna studied orchestral and choral conducting at the Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo and in 2021 she earned her master's degree in vocal and instrumental teaching from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Anna has had a varied carrier both as a player and music teacher. She has taught violin and viola, chamber music and conducted string ensembles at music schools and festivals in the Netherlands, Norway, Greenland and Iceland. She is currently employed at Tónskóli Sigursveins as a music teacher and conductor. As a freelance musician, Anna has worked with a number of musicians and artists both domestically and internationally. Anna has attended numerous courses in instrumental performance and string teaching with a special focus on historically informed performance practise. She is one of the founding members of the Ensemble ReykjavíkBarokk (2012) and has led projects for the chamber group since 2021.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Hafrún Birna Björnsdóttir ispursuing a master's degree on the viola at the Sibelius Academy under the tutelage of Atte Kilpeläinen and Helge Valtonen. She completed an advanced diploma in violin from MÍT and a B.Mus. in viola from the Iceland University of the Arts in the spring of 2024, under the guidance of Þórunn Ósk Marinósdóttir, having undertaken an exchange year at the Sibelius Academy during her third year. Hafrún has performed with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, NYKY Ensemble, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, and the Icelandic Opera, and received an internship position with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in the autumn of 2025. Under the artist name SPÍRA, Hafrún plans to release an album this spring featuring improvisations for viola and looper pedal, which she worked on in the Arts Groups of The House (Listhópar Hins hússins) during the summer of 2024. She has participated in diverse collaborative projects, including with the charity organization Hyvin Voimin Ry, to bring classical music to underserved audiences. Hafrún is also a founding member of the Norwegian-Icelandic group Stundaróms, which works with the music of nations and recently organized children's concerts in Iceland and Norway.       <image:caption>Herdís Mjöll Guðmundsdóttir was born and raised in Reykjavík. She began her violin studies at the age of five with Lilja Hjaltadóttir at the Allegro Suzuki School in Reykjavík and later studied with Guðný Guðmundsdóttir and also Sigrún Eðvaldsdóttir. She graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2017 before moving to the United States to pursue undergraduate studies at the Oberlin Conservatory under the guidance of Sibbi Bernharðsson. Herdís holds a master's degree from the Yale School of Music, where she studied in the studio of Augustin Hadelich. She began her work with the Minnesota Orchestra in the fall of 2025 in the 2nd Violin section. Previously, she was a member and concertmaster of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and has regularly substituted in both the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. She served as concertmaster of the Yale Philharmonia and was a member of the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble in the summers of 2023 and 2024. Herdís has a strong interest in performing contemporary music and has premiered numerous new works, both as a soloist and in collaboration with groups such as the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, New Music New Haven, Oberlin Contemporary Ensemble, Elju Chamber Orchestra, and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. As an active chamber musician, Herdís regularly performs in her hometown, Reykjavík. Herdís has also performed as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra after winning the orchestra's concerto competition for young musicians. She has had the honor of being a scholarship recipient of the Jean-Pierre Jacquillat Memorial Fund and the Anna Nordal and Ingjaldur Fund during her studies. Herdís was also one of the scholarship recipients of the American-Scandinavian Association in New York.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Katrín Birna Sigurðardóttir was born in 2002 and began her cello studies at the age of 5 in Selfoss at the Árnesinga Music School with Pawel Panasiuk and later with Uelle Hahndorf. She completed her advanced diploma there in the spring of 2021 and then moved to Denmark. She then began her bachelor's studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Henrik Brendstrup and will graduate this summer with a master's degree from the same school. Katrín was a leader in the Youth Orchestra of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2019 and has participated in various projects with the South Iceland Symphony Orchestra. In her first year in Aarhus, she won the school's concerto competition and was given the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra. She has performed solo with the string orchestra of the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and received a talent award from the Friends of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. In April 2025, Katrín performed as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra as one of the winners of Young Soloists. Alongside her studies, Katrín has performed at various music festivals and regularly plays with the chamber orchestra in Randers.</image:caption>
